This city garden was a completely neglected space when we took on the renovations. Our task was to make a family friendly yard that would add usable square footage to the house. We accomplished this by adding a limestone patio off the back of the house with a retaining wall to double as occasional seating. We built a raised and curving planting area and also added a row of screening trees along the back fence, to minimize on-looking windows. To complete the space we added a green lawn for playing, and many beautiful and low maintenance plantings to add color and interest.
