We call this space an urban retreat. It is a quiet and serene escape within the city. The owners have lived in the house for several years and have never used the backyard because there was no place to sit, the weather was too cold, there was too much work always needing to be done. They asked that we create a usable living room off the back of the house with a heat source, a green lawn for sports, and a place to enjoy the garden from within. We accomplished all those goals in this refined, cohesive space. It is now the most used room in the house that will only get better with time!
