Our objectives with this backyard were to take a large, overgrown space and transform it into a Tuscan paradise that reminded the owners of their travels in Italy. We started by creating a beautiful and functional Travertine patio off the back of the house. We then installed a grape covered arbor with a dining table beneath. We utilized the existing large stones to anchor the space and created raised planting areas that will soon be filled with roses, lavender and a variety of colorful and fragrant plantings. The pebble paths that connect the garden rooms provide a rustic feeling to the garden and further emphasize the European country retreat atmosphere that we were striving to create.
